Lazy Caiman cafe, Museum SAN. Chungju & Wonju

After breakfast on the lovely terrace, we went to Lazy Caiman cafe, then onto Museum SAN. This was the seventh day of me and Romana’s seven-day road trip to the east coast.

Lazy Caiman cafe

We made the most of the lovely view from the terrace and had a quick breakfast of juice, a bun, and some microwaved rice porridge. Then we said goodbye to Woraksan and headed to Lazy Caiman cafe for coffee and ice cream waffles! It seemed to be a bit of a biker cafe if the car park was anything to go by. It was also pretty busy. The views of the lake were great and we enjoyed the coffee and waffles.

Museum SAN

It was about an hour’s drive to Museum SAN. It was also extremely hot again, and a little rainy! I’ve been here before, actually; I promised myself to take Romana at that time. We spent quite a lot of time in the cool inside looking at the displays outlining the construction of this museum and other similar projects around the world; very interesting. We spent a lot of time in the rock garden, too, before going to the fabulous garden area of the cafe. We didn’t fancy staying for coffee though, though we did love the gardens; perhaps we were itching to get home after our seven days away!

Romana drove us home to Seoul, which was a welcome treat! On the way, we stopped at some motorway services for some pretty good grilled fish. We got back at about 7 pm.
