Violet Atelier brunch, Cheongsapo Harbour 청사포

Romana and I took a three-day trip to Songjeong Beach in Busan (송정해수욕장, 부산), Cheongsapo Harbour (청사포), and Yeongdo Island (영도) for a pre-New Year’s Eve break. We had fun time exploring the area, basically eating and drinking.

DAY 2 OF 3-DAY TRIP to Busan

Well rested, we walked south along the beach for a short way. The beach gives way to a rocky coast.

We walked to Violet Atelier (비올레아뜰리에) a brunch cafe in a new building overlooking the sea. We enjoyed the view, the sun streaming through the windows and the photo ops! The food and coffee was great.

We then walked south along the coast to Cheongsapo Harbour (청사포). You can walk along the shore for some of the trail and also along the wooden walkway that runs alongside the Haeundae Blueline Park tram tracks. This goes all the way to the famous Haeundae Beach in Busan. The harbour is quaint with two lighthouses. The village behind it is quite small and on a hill.

We walked through some streets then through a forest trail up a hill. There were parts of the trail that we probably should have been walking on, on on the way back we found the much quicker route! We were heading to a restaurant that Romana wanted to try called Suksiwon Handaegutang (속시원한대구탕). It was pretty good.

After lunch I wanted to try Alice Donut back down by the harbour. They had nice looking cream donuts but seemed to be selling out when we arrived. I got what we needed though. We had coffee by the window looking over to the lighthouses.

We returned to the hotel and decided on sushi for dinner. Unfortunately however, it was terrible to no photos or information!
