Uisangbong Peak and Guknyeongsa Temple

My parents visited me and Romana in Korea for three weeks. Here are a some of our days and evenings out and about.

DAYs 17 OF my parents’ 3-week TRIP to Korea

Returning to Bukhansan, Kevin and I went up Uisangbong, a challenging trail with many handrails to guide us and keep us safe. The air quality was great and therefore, so were the views.

We got a cab to the fortress entrance, walked through the forest, then started the mainly up, up and up, rocky trail.

It was quite busy today (weekend hiking traffic) and we took plenty of view breaks.

On the way down, we went to Guknyeongsa (or Gungyeongsa) Temple, a cool place, well maintained and with a big colourful Buddha statue that looks onto a great view of Wonhyobong and Baegundae; nice spot.

When we got back to the park entrance area, we grabbed some Korean pancake and beer.
