My parents visited me and Romana in Korea for three weeks. Here are a some of our days and evenings out and about.
DAYs 18 & 19 OF my parents’ 3-week TRIP to Korea
For the final few days, we stayed in and around Seoul. There were more than a few admin related tasks to do (I’m looking at you, Covid…), but I had a few ideas of places to visit.
Last road trip
I rented a SOCAR for the day, a large SUV, so large, I was second-guessing every tight turn I took! We started with some coffee and pastries at one of my favourite post-hike stops, Pointvill Cafe, which has amazing views to Bukhansan. We got a good seat in the garden and spent some time relaxing.
Next, we drove about 30 minutes north west to Majang Lake, a reservoir with boating, walks, coffee shops, and a suspension bridge across the middle.
Back in Seoul, my parents took their covid tests ready for their results tomorrow. Then we took them to one of Romana and my favourite sashimi spots, Midori in Yeonnam-dong. Wine and raw mackerel, and other delicious food!
Last Full day
We had to get covid certificates during the day so my parents could get on their Lufthansa flight. We went to the Han River park for some food by the river, and then sat under the trees for a bit.
In the evening, we went to L’impasse81, a restaurant that makes its own cured meat and sausages.
So that was it, almost three weeks visiting me and Romana in Seoul! We said a sad farewells the next morning as they got the airport taxi to Incheon Airport. I had a great time and hope they did too! See you in England!
