DAY 3 OF 5-DAY stay in Tongyeong

After my quick visit to Hansando and Bongam beach, I went to the east part of Tongyeong to find an electric scooter or bicycle; there’s a coastal cycle path I wanted to ride along, Samchingihaeman-gil (삼칭이해안길). I had to go to a few places before I could find a place renting stuff. My first stop was a coffee shop that rented ‘kickboards’ but it was shut. I went back to the north part and found the backup option called ‘Bay Condo’ or something. I paid 20,000 won for a two-hour rental. and off I went on my first real electric scooter/kickboard journey!

The path leads all the way south along the coast, east of Mireuksan. It’s very pleasant and relatively quiet. There were a few nice rock formations in the sea and at the end, a kind of marina with some actual pleasure boats and posh looking restaurants. This would be a cool place to spend a bit of money and relax. Across the water was a picturesque village.
