Talkraphy (토크라피), a cool art-deco style coffee shop in southern Ganghwado. There was a big garden out back looking over the mudflats and the mainland in the distance.

I really liked the interior, too, all old teak finishings and 70’s fabric. They also had a few vintage looking bits of furniture and a cool looking valve amp.

The section by the entrance and the food had a great window that let light in in a certain way that was super cool. Next to that window was a painting which was similar to what was happening in reality. I can’t explain…see the photos:

We spent a hour in the garden; the coffee was good and they had a great selection of baked goods.

Not easy to park; I guess we all got the memo! You’ll need to fight for a spot on the street. There are a lot of hotel type places there (pensions), so be creative…
