DAY 2 OF MY SOLO, 6-DAY JEJU ROAD TRIP
Geumneung Stone Park is filled with stone sculptures and a cool maze, and even features a temple in a cave with an underground stream.
This is an awesome little place. And you go in thinking it’s little but you soon find you’ll be there for a few hours. I had a totally unexpectedly good time! If you’re into taking photos, this place will be a time-suck.
There’s a stone maze filled with sinister, demonic, twisted stone sculptures. Quite unnerving if going alone. I took a video of this.
The cave temple is at the entrance of the park. It’s was cool and the I imagine the water would be very inviting in the summer heat.
Some statues were dedicated to feeding the Jeju Black Pigs, you know, the ones that eat human faeces. That one. The model village had a whole section!
There are more than a few stone-themed places on Jeju, so beware while searching.
More information at Visit Jeju.
I visited again in 2022 while hiking Section 14 of the Jeju Olle Trail.
