Cha Cha Tea Club 차차티클럽 창신점

Romana and I visited Cha Cha Teac Club in Dongdaemun for an educational cuppa.

Cha Cha Tea Club is in the back streets of Dongdaemun in white-tile covered old refurbished building. The decor is wood with lots of traditional house elements kept as features. The central courtyard area is covered with glass roof and is used as a place to showcase the various teas on offer. There are a lot of nooks and crannys considering it’s not that large.

The staff were very helpful; once you select a tea, they will come and demonstrate how you make tea correctly, which involves way more steps than I thought previously, including a whole step where you pour away the whole first brew of water. This is to clean the tea and make it ready for the second brew for drinking!
