Cafe 909 – Byeonsanbando

I spent a few days camping in Byeonsanbando, then spent four days in Jeonju alone, and then with Romana.

DAY 3 OF my 7-day TRIP to Byeonsanbando and Jeonju

I broke camp then drove west to see what I could see. The plan was to drive along the south coast then onto Iksan, check the car in, grab a train to Jeonju and then a bus to the accommodation.

Cafe 909

My first stop was Cafe 909, a coffee shop I’d passed on the way to the campsite a few days ago. Today was absolutely scorching hot, and as I left the car I could feel I wouldn’t be spending much time outside today! They had a really beautiful garden overlooking the sea. Inside were two floors of well windowed seating areas looking out to sea and to the countryside behind.

After leaving and driving out of Byheonsanbando, I didn’t really see anything that seemed like a quick easy stop to explore so I decided to make the drive to Iksan. I check the car in and got on the KTX 20 minutes later; it was one stop to Jeonju. After getting off the train, I was rushing to find shade trying to walk to the bus stop and ended up taking out my umbrella for protection on the treeless street. The bus ride was easy enough but a bit awkward with my suitcase full of camping gear!
