DAY 2 OF MY SOLO, 6-DAY JEJU ROAD TRIP
A surreal sight going from Geumneung Stone Park to the Artists’ Village; I stopped by the famous Hyeopjae Beach (narrowly avoiding getting side-swiped!) and was met with a beach seemingly in bed for the winter; the sand was covered with a massive sheet of something you might find at a farm and held in place with regimentally placed sand bags.
You could still stroll to the sea though and from there you could see a seom. On the beach were lots of piled rocks, so I guess people come here to do that? So, white sand, black rock, blue sea and skies. Very picturesque and totally Jeju!
There’s parking, toilets and showers, a few dunes, a pine forest and of course places to eat and drink. I expect this is super busy in the summer.
I’ll definitely come back when it’s warmer. Note to self, there’s a campsite here too.
