Among the back streets of Euljiro is a cool multi-level, two building cafe. It’s actually two cafes that seem to operate together; the desserts are bought from one building, Yanggwajajeom Hyemindan (양과자점 혜민당), and coffee bought from the other store, Cafe Hanyakbang (커피한약방). However, you can take your coffees and food and sit in either one. It’s apparently an old medicine store and that’s kind of the theme. It has a colonial era atmosphere, with the old medicine look of the lower floors, and a dabang coffee house feel to the upper floors. The two buildings from two sides of a narrow alley which adds to the charm.
There serve good, hand drip coffees and tasty desserts.
