After visiting Dosolam, we went to a teahouse and tea farm hidden on the side of Duryusan. This is day 2 of a five-day trip to Haenam and Mokpo with Romana.
The heat was beginning to let up a little and we were feeling energised after our lovely grilled fish in Ttangkkeut Village. We decided to stop at a teahouse on the way back to our glamping site. It’s called Moment Haenam (모먼트해남) and also Seoladawon (설아다원). It’s a tea farm, teahouse and accommodation, hence the two names!
It was a bit challenging to drive to as a section of the road was very very narrow on a corner! Good job we rented the Kia Ray… We parked up and made our way up stone steps through some trees and found the teahouse. Inside were a few people who I guess were owners and staff, or perhaps a guest at the accommodation. The server explained the teas a little and we ordered. Then she recommended we walk around the tea farm out back while we waited.
Out the back entrance they were growing teas and you could walk back to the side of Duryusan Mountain! The sun was getting low and the temperatures more bearable and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of this place, especially with the views of the mountain and the sunlight in the trees.
Back at the teahouse, we drank our teas after the server gave us some recommendations on how best to enjoy it! It came with some traditional sweet snacks, too.
This place also offers classes on tea, so a full tea experience seems to be available here. A lovely calm place to visit.
Next we drove back to our accommodation and cooked up some of the leftovers for dinner. The next day, we’d be heading to Mokpo for the weekend.
